I often find myself pushing back on traditional ways of thinking and asking why.
I don’t treat problems — I partner with you. Together, we will build a connection and find solutions or acceptance to the issues you are facing.
I’m excited to get to know you! I’m even more excited for you to get to know yourself in new, life-changing ways. Throughout our time together, we will look at all the not-so-fun parts of you and the not-yet-understood parts. Most importantly, you’ll discover the very best parts of you that were always there, but perhaps got a bit lost as life got more complicated.

Because each person and situation is unique, I tailor my approaches specifically to you. I have extensive training and education, but do not adhere to a particular modality or method. Instead, I use all of my knowledge and skills to best fit your circumstances. I honor and celebrate that not one size fits all.
Because I do not use one particular method, therapy with me is like a conversation — not too formal, but meaningful and productive. This relational approach allows for deeper trust and connection that ultimately leads to sustainable and meaningful change.
I most commonly incorporate concepts based in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Family Systems, Strengths Based, Person Centered, and Solutions Focused therapy.
Authenticity & Acceptance
To show up to your life as your authentic self can be daunting but incredibly rewarding and liberating. This does not mean accepting the parts you want to change or improve but it does mean acknowledging your human-ness. I accept you as you are — no need for masks, cover ups, or shame. Come as you are, your most true and authentic self, and feel the freedom that acceptance brings.
Connection
Spoiler alert: Connection is the key to everything. True and meaningful change happens in the context of relationships, in connection with others and to ourselves. We are relational beings — designed and created to be connected to others. Let’s uncover how you can become more connected so that your life may be meaningful, satisfying and fulfilling.
Collaboration
We are partners in this journey. The therapeutic relationship is just that— a relationship where all individuals involved are dedicated and working together. We join together for a common purpose — to create an environment where you can achieve your goals and make your hopes and dreams a reality.

As a counselor, I believe healing happens in safe, authentic relationships. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, honoring your story, pace, and strengths. I’m deeply interested in how trauma—big and small—shapes the mind and body, and I focus on addressing root causes rather than just symptoms.
Together, we’ll explore how past experiences may still impact your present, gently reframing thoughts and patterns that keep you stuck. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and a relational approach, blending practical tools with emotional insight to support meaningful change.
I see therapy as checking your life’s “engine lights”—those signals that something needs attention. My goal is to help you understand those signals, break free from limiting patterns, and move toward a more fulfilling life. I work with both teens and adults, creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported.
I chose this work because I believe lasting change is possible—and no one can do that alone.

As a child therapist, I provide a safe, supportive space where children can express themselves, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills. I use evidence-based, age-appropriate approaches—such as play therapy and cognitive-behavioral techniques—to help children navigate anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma, and family transitions.
I also partner closely with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and practical tools to support growth at home. My goal is to empower both children and families, fostering emotional well-being and stronger connections.

How long will I need to be in therapy?
That all depends on you! People come to me with varying degrees of need and readiness to change. Some people would like to address many life issues, while others want to target one specific issue. Because of these variables, some people choose to be in therapy a few months while others choose the long game. My practice is a varied mix of people. Some I will work with for a brief amount of time and others I have seen for years.
Does being in therapy mean something is wrong with me?
That’s a big ole’ NOPE! Many people begin therapy because they feel that something isn’t working. It be like that sometimes. Everyone could use some extra support in navigating tricky issues. That does not mean you are incapable, broken, sick, or any other nonsense.
Others choose therapy to learn more about themselves, so that they may gain insight and awareness into their current life challenges and struggles.
Do you offer in person sessions?
Yes! I provide in person and online therapy to allow for greater flexibility and convenience for my clients. I prefer the connection of in-person sessions but understand that at times it is easier to have sessions via telehealth. We will work together to find what works best for you.
What is the cost of services? What about insurance?
With intention, my practice is built to suit different financial situations and approaches to standard mental health practices.
My standard rate for individual, couples and family sessions is $100 per session, which can be paid via cash, check or credit card. I am in network with Blue Cross & Blue Shield. If you have a different insurance I am able to provide an invoice (superbill) that you can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement. However, I do not communicate directly with other insurance carriers. I reserve some limited spots for those self-pay clients needing a reduced rate and offer a sliding scale based on income.
What is your cancellation policy?
This part is never fun. In order to encourage accountability and ensure a sustainable business, a full cancellation fee will apply for any missed appointments that are not cancelled 24 hours prior to scheduled time. Everyone gets one free pass. Life happens! Accommodation for unique situations will be considered.
What is the No Surprise Act & Good Faith Estimate?
As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to provide estimates for the costs of your care. The GFE shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your healthcare needs and treatment. This will be provided by this office and/or as requested. The GFE does not include unexpected costs that could arise during treatment.
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE A “GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE” EXPLAINING HOW MUCH YOUR MEDICAL CARE WILL COST.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.-Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or to read the full disclosure regarding Patient Protections Against Surprise Billing or for more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
